Why I built Cepho

I noticed my brain doesn't really clock out of a project. The idea for a fix, or the thing that's actually wrong with a bug, tends to show up nowhere near my desk. Standing in line, on a train, stuck at a boring family thing.

Normally that idea is just gone by the time I'm back at my pc. I'd lose the thread, or I'd default to scrolling instead, even though half my head was still on the project the whole time.

Cepho is the fix for that specific gap. Not a replacement for your setup, not a new IDE, not remote access to your machine. Just your actual files, available the second you think of something, so the moment doesn't die before you get back to your desk.

Install Cepho Sync

Real setup. Pick your editor, install once, connect once, wait for Synced. Most pain comes from the wrong CLI or two Active syncs.

1. Pick your editor

VS Code and Cursor are different apps. They use different terminal commands.

VS Code → code
Cursor → cursor

If the command is missing, install it in PATH from that editor:

VS Code: Command Palette → Shell Command: Install 'code' command in PATH
Cursor: Command Palette → Shell Command: Install 'cursor' command in PATH

Then open a new terminal (or close and reopen PowerShell) so PATH updates.

2. Windows (PowerShell)

Copy the command for the editor you actually use. Version is 0.2.43.
